Doing your best is a prerequisite for success, I think because it is somehow connected directly to your self esteem. If you don't do your best, you will never make it. If you do your best and still not make it, you are still a winner. Looking at it this way; you are competing with yourself and when you do your best you win over yourself. Knowing you put in your best effort will significantly boost your self esteem on a daily basis.
