You should be aware that as a leader you set the pace for your organization. When you are not able to make a decision for whatever reason, you are stopping momentum and actually procrastinate in the process. When a decision is delayed actions are delayed and results are consequently also postponed into the future. Delayed decisions delay results!

People Don't Fail, They Give Up
Under most circumstances, I think it is fair to say, failure equals giving up. There will be temporary setbacks, lessons to learn, obstacles to overcome etc. but failure does not occur until you stop taking action. As long as you bounce back, try again, adjust and try something different you have not failed. You don't fail until you give up.

Past, Present, Future
Your past is not necessarily an indication of your future. You can not change the past but you can influence your future. It is said that insanity is trying the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. To achieve a different result you need to change your attitudes, behaviors and actions and the good news is: you can! "If you don't like your current address; move, you are not a tree!"

Courage Is To Act
We are all subject to and share the human condition. We have fears and anxieties and other things to deal with. Courage is our ability to face our fears and challenge them through action. Successful people act when other people don't. Average people are afraid and they get paralyzed. Superior people are also afraid but they act anyway. Don't allow yourself to be intimidated by your emotions. Act anyway!

Replacing Habits
I am sure you have noticed how difficult it can be to change a behavior. This is because our behaviors are mostly based on habit and to change the habit the underlying thinking structures have to be changed first. Focus on the underlying structures of attitudes and values if you want to change a behavior. Replace the attitude first. It is difficult to break a habit but easier if you replace it with a new behavior.

Double Check Your Excuses
Do a reality test on your excuses. Hold them up to the light and ask; "Is there anyone with similar background, situation, problems, limitations as I have, that has been successful despite of it?" Most of the time you will find that viewed in this light and when you are honest about it, your fabricated excuses do not hold water. If someone else could do it despite severe circumstances, so can you!
